Installing the GCF components

The creation, transfer, and import of briefcases are performed in the background by programs running as Windows scheduled tasks. These programs perform the majority of the processing to collaborate on documents between shares. The GCF also includes other programs that you use to configure and administer the GCF. When you select the Global Collaboration Framework component in the Meridian Enterprise setup program, it installs the GCF processors, GCF extensions, script, documentation, and tools.

Note If the processors are installed on the same computer with the Meridian Enterprise 64-bit edition server components, the Meridian Enterprise Web Client must be also be installed on the computer from a Meridian Enterprise 32-bit edition setup program.
